KCM Performance Studio Policies and Courtesy Information

1. TIME:     Lessons will be one hour in length.            
   Note:   All parents/guardians are welcome at any time to observe. 
   
   COVID:  All COVID-19 Regulations and Restrictions that are in place at any given time, (as Government Mandated), will be observed by Students and Teacher(s).  This is to assure the health and safety of all students and teacher(s).  
   If a student is experiencing any COVID symptoms, please make sure to notify your teacher before Lesson time. 
   
   All Students and Teacher(s) of KCMPS must be up to date on their Vaccinations and Boosters.
   
   Please Note: If you are unable medically (or for other reasons) to be Vaccinated, please contact KCMPS, as Zoom lessons can still be a very effective method of learning our craft.        

2. PAYMENT:   An Invoice will be sent at the beginning of each month, and will total the cost of the number of lessons to be taken during that month.
   Each Invoice sent, will have a direct payment that can be made to the Studio Bank Account.
   
   

3. LESSON CANCELLATIONS:  

   Lessons canceled with twenty-four (24) hours advance notice will be rescheduled, schedules permitting.
    
   Please Note:  Any lesson missed by the Teacher, if unable to re-schedule, will be Refunded or Repaid as an Extra Lesson another week.
   (Zoom Lessons will still be an option this year, and can be a solution to prevent Lesson Cancellation)
   
   Please Also Note: If Student Sickness occurs less than 24-hours before a lesson, (eg: Morning of an Afternoon Lesson),  it will be at the discretion of the Teacher as to whether the lesson will still be billed or rescheduled.
   
   Students/Parents are responsible to pay for lessons canceled without twenty-four hours notice. 
   No refund will be given for no-shows or tardiness. 
   If you think you will be delayed, please call ahead to inform whether or not you will be attending. 
   
   If you are late, it will be at the discretion of the teacher, as to the length of lesson given upon arrival.
   
   

4. 10-DAY NOTICE OF LESSON TERMINATIONS:
   If a student must discontinue lessons altogether, a written (emailed), 10-day notice is required.
   Payment is due during this 10-day period whether or not lessons are taken.

5. STUDIO PHONE:  The Studio phone number is 0420 484 132.  Please feel free to call between the hours of 9AM and 8 PM weekdays, if you have any cancellations, questions, or need to arrange a conference.  If I am teaching or unavailable when you call, an answering machine will take your message.

6. SUPPLIES:  All supplies, i.e.: Sheet Music, Vocal Straws, Backing Tracks, Live Accompanists will be the Students/Parents responsibility to purchase.
   There will be occasions where the Studio can provide certain sheet music, no charge.  
   However, at such times when sheet music must be purchased from a website or composer, it will be at the students/parents expense.
   
   Backing Tracks are also normally found online for free for teaching purposes, however if Backing Tracks need to be provided by a live Accompanist or need to be purchased from a website, it will be the responsibility of the Student/Parent to purchase this from an Accompanist or Site.  The Studio can provide names of Accompanists for this purpose.
   
   

7. Last Minute Audition Material and Preparation -
   Last minute Audition preparation is something that happens!  And normally we are given at the very least one week to prepare for any Audition. 
   
   Required Audition material to be taught during the lesson, and/or change of lesson-type request should be  made at least 24-48 hours in advance.   Your teacher needs to be prepared with your material in order to give you all you need, to feel your most confident entering that audition room!
   
   If it happens that you must change your lesson plan from a regular Singing Lesson to Audition Preparation lesson last minute (ie: after 24 hour notice), this lesson will incur a new fee of
   $100/hour.
   
   Please Note: Coaching for just Acting Audition Repertoire is offered as well, and this may require extra time or a separate lesson.
   
   All of the above will be understood as being agreed to by the Student/Parents, upon lesson commencement.
   
   It is my sincerest hope that you understand the necessity of establishing certain Studio Policies and that they be respected throughout Studio attendance.
